• One-month long ‘Future Filmmakers Summer Camp’ to conclude with participants making one-minute short film

Dubai, UAE: July 14, 2015: Emaar Retail, the premier provider of high quality entertainment and leisure choices, is offering a big-ticket opportunity for children to learn the intricacies of filmmaking through a ‘Future Filmmakers Summer Camp’ to be hosted by Reel Cinemas.
Underlining the corporate social responsibility of Reel Cinemas to groom the next generation of filmmaking talent in the UAE, the one-month long workshop is organised in partnership with Murdoch University Dubai, and is also a part of the Summer Camp activities organised by Emaar Retail. Nikon will provide all necessary equipment for the participants as well as the prizes for some categories.
The Summer Camp will conclude with a gala ceremony on September 3, 2015 where the films made by the children will be screened. The young filmmakers will also walk the red carpet at the event which is to be attended by VIPs and industry professionals, who will present awards in various categories.

The ‘Future Filmmakers Summer Camp’ by Reel Cinemas is the first of its kind in the UAE that provides a solid platform for children to learn the art and technology of filmmaking and in producing their movies from script-to-screen. Murdoch University’s Dubai professionals will lead the Summer Camp that will include four classes per week. A new module will be taught each week during the four-week programme.
The films to be screened during the gala evening will be evaluated by an expert panel of judges. Awards will be presented in various categories.
The first three modules of the workshop will be conducted at Reel Cinemas, The Dubai Mall from 9am to 1:30pm; Sunday to Thursday. The fourth module will be taught at Murdoch University campus in Dubai International Academic City (Block 10, 4th floor). For registration, log on to www.reelcinemas.ae
