A celebration of Italian truffles at Armani/Ristorante

Dubai, UAE; September 29, 2013: Armani/Ristorante, the hotel’s award-winning signature Italian restaurant, will be showcasing one of the culinary world’s most sought-after ingredients this October, with a collection of special menus celebrating the Italian truffle.

Dubai, UAE; September 29, 2013: Armani/Ristorante, the hotel’s award-winning signature Italian restaurant, will be showcasing one of the culinary world’s most sought-after ingredients this October, with a collection of special menus celebrating the Italian truffle.

A seasonal fixture on gourmet menus since Roman times, a two-month long promotion will be launched on October 1, 2013, where guests will be able to enjoy a taster preview of Chef Alessandro Salvatico’s innovative menus.

Throughout the month, diners will have the option to enjoy the ‘King of Funghi’ in a variety of ways, starting with a choice of two seven-course menus offering a classic or contemporary degustation experience featuring both the earthy black and fragrant white truffle.

Culinary highlights include a Parmesan and Truffle Crème Brûlée with Sweet Garlic Cappuccino; Roasted Veal Tenderloin with Morels and Black Truffle and a duo of desserts, including a Passion Fruit Sorbet with Black Truffle Meringue.

Chef Alessandro will also host a one-off gourmet gala dinner event on October 15, starting with a welcome aperitivo reception followed by an exclusive degustation menu that celebrates the versatility and perennial appeal of the truffle.

The seven-course culinary journey will include Foie Gras Terrine with Black Truffle and Piedmont Hazelnuts; slow-cooked Australian Wagyu Beef with Mushrooms and Black Truffle sauce; and the creative delights of the Mont Blanc Sphere with Marron Confit, Caramelised Pear, Meringue and White Truffle Ice Cream.

Hands-on tutelage in the art of truffle handling will add a further dimension to the calendar of events with two special master classes on Friday, October 11, and November 8, where fellow food lovers will learn the secrets of three of Chef Alessandro’s personal favourite dishes and taste their own handiwork with a three-course lunch.

Classic and Contemporary seven-course dinner menu AED 800 and AED 1,450 with paired grape beverages; Gala Degustazione Tartufo dinner menu AED 800 and AED 1,500 with paired grape beverages; Truffle Master Classes in October and November are AED 700 per person and AED 1,000 per couple including three-course lunch with paired grape beverages.
