A new global icon for the 21st century
The design of the Dubai Creek Tower was inspired by the minaret, the tower-like structure that is traditionally used for the Muslim call to prayer. The inspiration was also drawn from a lily flower, as evident by the elongated oval-shaped but at the top and steel cables evoking the delicate ribbing of the flower's leaves at the bottom. The genius behind the future global iconis the renowned neo-futuristic Spanish architect, Santiago Calatrava.
