The Dubai Mall Brochure Collects Three Awards at Summit Creative Awards 2005

Dubai, 24 May 2005- The Dubai Mall, the world’s largest mall and part of the Burj Dubai Development, recently won three awards for its singular brochure at the prestigious Summit Creative Awards 2005. The Summit Awards are instituted in Portland, Oregon.

Not only did the brochure win a Gold award for Best Art Direction / Graphic Design, and a Silver award for Best 4-colour B2B Brochure, but it also received the Judges Special Recognition award.

Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Emaar’s Executive Director - Retail said: “The Dubai Mall brochure greatly defines our pioneering project. The mall will be an architectural showcase for world-class retail concepts. It will be unequalled in size, design and quality of retail.”

The Dubai Mall was globally recognized when it won two prestigious awards at the first annual Retail Future Project Awards at MAPIC, Cannes last year. The unique development claimed the Best Retail Development Scheme (Large)  and the Best Use of Lighting in a Retail Environment awards. DPA Singapore are the Mall’s architects and the mall is due for completion in 2007.

The Dubai Mall marketing kit, comprising a generic and a high fashion brochure, reflects the grandeur and magnitude of the retail project. Spread over more than 12 million square feet, it has distinct themed areas, namely: The Waterfront Atrium, Fountain Oasis, The Aquarium, The Boardwalk, The Grand Drive and the world’s largest gold souk.

Created over 10 years ago, the Summit Creative Awards are only open to advertising and public relations agencies, advertisers and in-house marketing departments, video production and multimedia firms, graphic designers and other allied companies with annual billings of under US$20 million.
