Dubai Marina organises fun-filled Kids Fete

Dubai, UAE, May 7, 2007: Dubai Marina, the first and largest of its kind waterfront development in the region by Emaar Properties, hosted a Kids Fete for children residing in Dubai Marina Phase 1 towers on Friday. More than 200 children took part in the fun-filled event organised by Emaar Community Management and sponsored by Emaar Education’s Raffles International School.

The four-hour event held at Al Mass lawns featured interactive games and activities such as bouncy castles, art and craft and face painting. “Emaar’s Community Management department routinely conducts events that foster the spirit of community living among residents in Emaar’s neighbourhoods,” said Mr Ahmad Al Falasi, Executive Director – Asset Management, Emaar Properties. “At the Kids Fete, we also highlighted our new education initiative, the Raffles International School, which will open in September 2007.”

“Dubai Marina has now evolved as a strong community of independent standing, and events such as these bring the residents and Emaar together to work for the welfare of the community,” said a spokesperson of the Dubai Marina Phase 1 Volunteers Committee. “We will continue to work independently with Emaar to improve communications within the community and also ensure that high standards are maintained.  Given Dubai’s hectic pace of growth it is essential to have events such as this to promote the values of living and growing together”.

Raffles International School, located in Umm Suqeim, has commenced registrations for Kindergarten to Grade 8. The school offers three streams of curricula leading to the International Baccalaureate Diploma, American High School Diploma, and the Cambridge University’s International General Certificate of Education – Advanced Level.

Dubai Marina offers an alternative marina-themed lifestyle for residents. The 50 million sq ft development offers 11 km of marine frontage, and will have five marinas with clean, modern berths that can handle over 500 vessels. Emaar recently celebrated the third year of handover of Dubai Marina Phase 1, comprising Majara, Al Sahab and Dubai Marina towers. Construction is progressing on three other residential clusters developed by Emaar – Marina Promenade, Marina Quays and Park Island.
