Deputy Ruler of Umm Al Quwain visits Emaar’s Umm Al Quwain Marina Presentation Center |
Umm Al Quwain, January 7, 2007: Deputy Ruler of Umm Al Quwain His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Bin Rashid Al Mualla recently toured the Presentation Center of the AED 12 billion (US$3.3 billion) Umm Al Quwain Marina project being developed by Emaar Middle East (EME). The presentation center is scheduled to open soon and will serve as the one-stop sales hub for the project, which will feature about 8,000 homes, retail and recreational facilities, resorts, sports and yacht clubs, boutique hotels and community centers. The center is located near the highway, within the project site, and features true-to-type displays of the different elements of Umm Al Quwain Marina. Sheikh Abdullah was briefed by the senior level management team of EME about the various components of the 2,000-acre project, which is expected to further strengthen the emirate’s economy by boosting the tourism and real estate sectors and generating employment opportunities. “The property sector reforms introduced by Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain His Highness Sheikh Rashid Bin Ahmad Al Mualla have created a favourable economic climate for projects such as Umm Al Quwain Marina,” said Mr Ahmad Al Matrooshi, UAE Managing Director, Emaar Properties and Member of the Board of Directors of Emaar Middle East. “We thank the leaders of Umm Al Quwain for their support to the Umm Al Quwain Marina, which will introduce a new residential lifestyle and hospitality profile to the emirate.” Umm Al Quwain Marina will have a total navigable water area of about 450 acres. Emaar conducted extensive environment studies to minimise the impact of project development on the surrounding environment. Umm Al Quwain Marina is a key development of Emaar outside Dubai. With a track-record of delivering over 14,500 homes in Dubai, Emaar has also embarked on an expansion program with prestigious projects in Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Egypt, Turkey, Syria, Pakistan, Jordan, Libya and India.
