Dubai, UAE, April 21, 2007: Three homeowners of Emaar Properties’ communities in Dubai Marina were drawn as winners of the Dubai Marina Service Fees Draw, an initiative launched to encourage homeowners to make their service fee payments on time. Dubai Marina Phase 1, Majara Towers and Sahab Towers – three communities with over 2,000 residential units – were included in the draw.
The draw for the grand prize of a Toyota Camry car and two 40-inch Sony Bravia LCD televisions was held for homeowners who paid service fees for up to December 31, 2006, on or before March 14, 2007.
Mr David Reilly, a Dubai Marina homeowner picked the winners, in the presence of Mr Ahmad Al Falasi, Executive Director – Asset Management; and Mr Jeevan D’Mello, Director – Community Management, Emaar Properties.
Dr Ludmilla Vassilieva won the Toyota Camry and Mr Kairat Krymov and Mr Andrew Whitelaw won the plasma televisions.
The draw was organised by the Community Management Department of Emaar Properties.
Mr Ahmad Juma Al Falasi said: “The Service Fees Draw is a community-oriented incentive that promotes the culture of homeowners taking charge of their communities. With this initiative, all homeowners are indeed winners as the prompt payment of service fees ensures that community related works can be undertaken without delay thus ensuring the wellbeing of all residents.”
“Winning the grand prize was a pleasant surprise for me,” said Dr Vassilieva. “I always pay the service fees ahead of time, and although I had heard of the draw, I did not expect to win. I thank Emaar for the initiative, which will encourage residents to make their payments on time.”
Three of Emaar’s projects – Majara, Al Sahab and the Dubai Marina Towers – have been completed and handed over to residents, who were included in the draw. Work is progressing on three others, Marina Promenade, Marina Quays and Park Island. For more information on Dubai Marina projects, call toll-free: 800-EMAAR (800-36227).
