Emaar rewards winners of Best Garden competition

Dubai, UAE, April 14, 2007: Emaar Properties feted the winners of the Best Garden competition at a ceremony held recently at Emaar Business Park. Ms Anne-Louise Whyte of Emaar Properties and event sponsor Mr Julian Lee from Dubai Garden Centre presented cash vouchers worth AED 3,000, AED 1,500 and AED 500 to the first three winners in four categories – Best Large Garden, Best Small Garden, Best Balcony/ Terrace and Best Swimming Pool.

Now in its second year, the competition, organised by the Community Management Department of Emaar Properties, was open to all residents within Emaar’s master-planned communities in Dubai including Arabian Ranches, Dubai Marina and Emirates Living, which comprises Emirates Hills, The Greens, The Springs, The Meadows and The Views. To participate in the competition, residents simply had to send photographs of their gardens.

“The Best Garden competition is one of the several initiatives by Emaar Properties to nurture community spirit among residents in our master-planned communities and also encourage them to build on the aesthetics of their homes,” said Mr Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Managing Director - UAE, Emaar Properties. “The response to the competition was overwhelming, which asserts the care given by Emaar residents to their properties.”

The first three winners of the competition, respectively, are:

Best Large Garden:  L Curran (Saheel, Arabian Ranches), Chris Clarke (Hattan II, Emirates Hills) and Masoumeh Kayarashpour (The Meadows 9). Masoumeh has also won garden furniture from the Oleander Group for best individual effort.
